IOC Sub-Commission for the Western Pacific (IOC/WESTPAC) 8th International Scientific Symposium on March 28–31, 2011, at Busan, Korea

IOC Sub-Commission for the Western Pacific (IOC/WESTPAC) announces its 8th International Scientific Symposium to be held on March 28–31, 2011, at Paradise Hotel, Busan, Republic of Korea, generously hosted by Ministry of Land, Transport and Maritime Affairs (MLTM). This Symposium will be co-organized by IOC/WESTPAC and Korea Ocean Research & Development Institute (KORDI).

The objective of the Symposium entitled “Ocean Climate and Marine Ecosystems in the Western Pacific”, is to bring together marine scientists, particularly young scientists inside and outside the region with a view to encouraging an interdisciplinary approach towards the management and sustainable development of coasts and oceans with growing challenges of climate change.
