Andaman Sea, Malacca Straits and Eastern Malay Peninsular Satellite Images! 6 June 2008




A small coastal upwelling can be clearly seen in the east coast of Peninsular Malaysia. The high chlorophyll a tongue is advected towards the northeast direction off Terengganu coast. The upwelling phenomena is normal for this area during the Southwest monsoon season.
